Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the

Cornhusker Chapter of the American Red Cross
You can help with our mission to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

There are 4 steps to our Online Application Process.  Once you complete a step, you will be automatically directed to the next step.  The entire application process should take approximately 30 minutes.

1. Complete the Application Form
Our application form is designed to give us information about who you are, and what you are  looking for in a volunteer position with us.  We also ask for 3 references and request that they not be family members.

2.  Read & Agree to the Code of Business Ethics & Conduct

3.  Read & Agree to the Intellectual Property Agreement

All Red Cross employees and volunteers are required to read these documents and agree to comply with the standards and expectations described in each.

 4. Complete the Background Check

All Red Cross employees and volunteers are required to pass a background check.  We use an online company and there is no charge to you.  Once the check has been completed, results will be sent to both you and Sharon Kelley, our volunteer coordinator.  When you complete part 3 of the application process you will be directed to the MyBackgroundCheck.com  website to initiate your background check.
